Lauren Day
Lauren is the founder and
creator of Lauren Day Beauty Boutique. She has been working as a Makeup Artist for 6 years.
Her interest in makeup was sparked when attending a Mary Kay skin care
class in 2001. She was always a bit of a tom boy but fell in love with
the product and the company. In 2001 she became a Mary Kay consultant
and then went onto to achieve her Certificate in Makeup Effects in 2002
which made her a qualified Makeup Artist.
Lauren has been working as a Makeup Artist ever since. "In
2002 I fly to Los Angeles to attend the International Makeup Artist
Trade Show in Pasadena. It was a great start to my career and an
experience I will never forget".
Lauren has also worked as a
cosmetic & fragrance consultant for Mary Kay, Revlon, Bloom, and Elizabeth
Arden.
Lauren's true passion is transforming brides with her amazing professional
makeup skills. "I love working with Brides to create a look that makes them feel
glamorous just like a special princess on their wedding day".
Lauren loves to teach real women about makeup and how to choose colours
that will suit them and enhance their natural beauty. "If you look
beautiful on the outside you will feel beautiful and confident on the
inside"
In 2008 Lauren launched her brand new range of professional
cosmetics via Lauren's Beauty Boutique website. She is inspired by 1940s
and 50s Hollywood Pin Up girls. Her one true inspiration being Miss
Marilyn Monroe. "It's my absolute favourite makeup era! I
just love all the glitz and glamour and am truly inspired by all the
Hollywood actresses of that era". Lauren's next goal is her
own professional makeup studio on the Gold Coast.
